    LEARN THE BASICS :
A number of years ago I was asked by a local youth group to run a basics of photography course for the kids.
I've found it quite useful for beginner photographers too. It was a two part course.

So you have a camera now what ? Part 1

MANAGING AND EDITING YOUR COLLECTION :
Digital photography create hug problems, in terms of filing - editing and storage. I use Adobe Photoshop Light Room. which is a little on the expensive side. If your an amature and your looking for a free system i'd recomend Picasa - Its Free and has great management software for your computer, as well as some decent editing tools for some just starting out.

TAKING GREAT PHOTOS WITH YOUR CELLPHONE CAMERA :
My husband is always telling me, that since I got an i-phone I never use my SLR any more. Well that's not entirely true, I just don't use it for 'happy snaps' as much. There is so much you can do with a cellphone camera today, and with the advent of Various apps you can get good quality photos with the most basic of cameras. I really believe the adage. A good photographer can get a good shoot with any camera. Getting the shot has a lot more to do with who's holding the lens than how good the equipment is. I've been wanting to write an article about this, but - here's a great one I found.

How to take incredible photos with your phone

I've recently discovered this great app. for the i-phone called Camera + ,
    Camera +
Its not exactly free but it is, only $0,99, and so far is the best application I've found for the i-phone camera wise. Most useful is the ability to select your light meter point - which is always the most frustrating aspect of the camera phone. enjoy.
